I have a problem with CCleaner not opening due to error message – C\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner 64.exe – File system error (-1073741819). I contacted both CCleaner forum and tech support – both replied that it was a Windows 10 problem and suggested sites to fix the problem. Since this seems to be a Windows 10 problem, I wanted to know from Microsoft that suggested fixes were applicable.
Would you please advise Microsoft fix for this problem and/or confirm fixes suggested by CCleaner?
Sorry, the files I have are pdf files not jpeg so not able to attach files.
CCleaner forum moderator replied – (see attached pdf file –“screenshot dual monitor CCleaner error notice and suggested fix”)
File system error (-1073741819) is a User Account error and has a surprising fix - by changing the Audio scheme.
This shows how to do it using either solutions 1 or 2, it also gives 2 alternative fixes that involve more work:
