I've been battling this issue for ages now with various Windows installs, and if you search for solutions, it's a gigantic list of useless advice--often boilerplate responses--that starts with suggestions to run the Windows Update troubleshooter, manually reset Windows Update, perform a clean/safe mode reboot, run an AV check (smh), etc. and inevitably results in either a Windows reinstall or no response (and now, many of these questions here are no longer accepting replies).
