Windows 10 Folder sharing

Hi. If someone unshares a folder with me and now refuses to give access back so I can copy info before they decide to delete it, can I retrieve a backup from my own one drive . I can no longer see the shared folder in my one drive as of yesterday. Its business data so very important.
