On one, all my File Explorer dates are in the newer "Friendly Dates" format introduced with, I believe, 1903, while the other uses the older style file date format. Neither one shows the "Use Friendly Dates" format by either right clicking the folder columns or by using the Folder Options advanced options accessed via the ribbon. I looked in HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced in both laptops, and neither shows a FriendlyDates DWORD(32-bit) value. I have read that I can enable Friendly Dates by creating this with a value of 1 for enabled. Does anyone know if this is correct?
