Windows 10 Function keys constantly performing back commands in chrome, discord, and other applications

My keyboard has a Fn key which toggles my function keys between being normal function keys and doing things like change the volume or change the brightness of the LEDs in my keyboard. Now when I try to use those other features like changing volume, they don't work and instead pushing f10 once causes my chrome to constantly go back and in other programs do something different constantly. It seems like pressing my function keys once while Fn is toggled on causes them to constantly do something different than their normal function.
