Windows 11 Getting app to recognize a "mouse click" when Surface is in Tablet mode

I have seen related posts but none exactly answering this, so reposting:I have a textbook reading website (Pearson etextbook) that successfully pulls up a customized context-specific menu for highlighting and taking notes when I click to highlight text using the mouse. When I hold to highlight using the touchscreen, all I get is the standard windows "copy text" option. I have read elsewhere online that neither tapping nor holding in touch screen mode are technically the same as a mouse click. Is there a way to change setting so that tapping and holding is recognized as a mouse-click? I underst
