Windows 10 getting incorrect password with Microsoft account

My wife is having a nasty problem with her Laptop.

Today she couldnt open her Windows session ...even though she was absolutely sure the password she was using was good....

We tried several time to reset the Microsoft account password but stil couldnt open the session with the newer passwords...

I added a new account on my own PC, pointing to her email-ID... And I was able to logion on her account on my PC... but stil we couldnt open the sesssion on her PC ( she is still getting incorect Password)
