Windows 10 Google Chrome will not launch after latest auto MS Windows update on August 3, 2023

As per usual, I put my Windows 10 OS into sleep mode for the night on 8/3/23. When getting back on-line 8/4/23, instead of coming back to where I was, I had the "Finish upgrading to Windows 11" message that I have continued to refuse given a lot of folks I know do not like Windows 11 and I also don't want my environment changing on me.Regardless, it was obvious that MS shoved another update onto my laptop, and so I would have to re-open/launch my various apps to get back to work.
