I recently replaced my hard drive, and installed Windows 10. Then I added a more robust graphics card to use with apps that require enhanced graphics.
To make a long story short, my new graphics card worked for about a minute then the screen went black and went to sleep due to lack of signal input.

I disconnected HDMI cable and plugged it into the card that came with my PC (HP desktop), and got the same thing... no input to monitor. Further troubleshooting confirms that

1) new graphics card has power (its fan runs)

2) new card has to be physically removed from the machine to get it to even reconize the old card

3) once new card is removed, PC gets signal from the old card and display works fine

Sounds like a possible conflict between the new and old graphics cards but im not sure. Anyone have any ideas or what i can do about it? Any help is appreciated
