Greetings! I am increasingly irritated and frustrated with Windows 10 at the moment.
I recently received a Huion HS64 tablet as an early Christmas Present, and have been eager to get back into digital art after many years
However! Upon installing the tablet and drivers, while the pen will function normally and draw in Paint and Whiteboard, it refuses to do the same in other digital paint programs such as FireAlpaca, instead acting as if I am using my mouse and right-clicking the second the nib touches the workspace on the tablet. A video of this is here.
I have literally, tried everything at this point and nothing has worked:
- I have tried solutions for Wacom based tablets, and this has failed.
- I have tried using the tablet both with Windows Ink enabled, and Windows Ink disabled. While it registers pen pressure in the settings, this has failed.
- I have disabled the press and hold function in control panel, this has failed.
- I have gone into the group policy to prevent press-and-hold, this has failed.
- I have attempted to disable Windows Ink outright, this has failed.
- I have tried every API in FireAlpaca's settings, this has failed.
- and lastly, in a full-send, last resort; I followed the steps to edit the registry, and this has failed.
I do not understand why the only program that registers me drawing is MS Paint, and Microsoft Whiteboard, but in FireAlpaca it registers as a right-click, which is the eraser. All I literally want to do is draw in my preferred program of choice and Windows refuses to let me.
