Suddenly today, without a single hardware/software change, when I opened my laptop and plugged in my headphones to start work, the audio no longer played through them. There was no abrupt damage to the 3.5mm plug on my laptop nor on the headphones; they worked fine earlier in the day and also work fine on my phone. I attempted to troubleshoot it through windows but it wouldnt even register that the headphones were plugged in. After going through numerous troubleshooting steps (restart computer, use different headphones, update/uninstall audio drivers, update bios, update windows, go through manufacturer update drivers process, preboot hardware diagnostics program), I came up with nothing. What I was finally able to do was to go to manage sound devices and whenever I plug in my headphones (or other hardwired headphones), it comes up as an input Jack Mic (Realtek (R) Audio) instead of output headphones. I have attempted to replug them in, restart computer, go to device manager and uninstall the Jack Mic driver along with all other wired headphone drivers but whenever I plug in the headphones, they just immediately install the Jack Mic input. I have tried to go through the manufacturer support but thought i through this out here too because it seems to be a problem with Windows reading the input through the 3.5mm plug. Any information would be welcomed.

PS.

When I have plugged in the headphones and it installs them as the Jack Mic input, the events information has the following:
