Hello Dave. I have a similar situation. My C: drive has 1.68 TB free, (2tb nvme). My D: drive has 560 gb free (2tb ssd). I am not backing up the D: drive. My backup drive is a new empty (formated ntfs) 4tb external usb SSD. I am getting the error message. (A shadow copy could not be created. Please check VSS & SPP application event logs for more info. Details - insufficient storage available to create either the shadow copy storage file or other shadow copy data.). Could the system be trying to put the shadow on the D: drive? Thank you for your time. Glenn B.
