Windows 10 Help getting a sound driver on Windows 10

Hello, so I recently got a older laptop for collage but after installing windows it refused to pick up the sound driver. I decided it did not matter to much since I hardly use laptop speakers because I always use wired headphones, but it will not detect any sound device, It does not even have a sound driver in device manager. I need sound working because over half the apps I need for collage won't even try to load without a sound device and it does not matter if it is a wired headphone, Bluetooth speaker/headphone, or a wired speaker, windows just refuses to recognize it. I've searched online
