Windows 11 Help needed - photos on new computer have been trasferred by year not subject

My photos have been transferred in the order of year taken/uploaded on my new computer. Some of my old folders were by subject (eg family photos covering many years). These photos are now dotted around all over the place. Without setting up folders again - how can I get them back into their original areas?
