Windows 11 How can i change my headphone jack from being recognized as an input device to an output device?

I plugged my 3.55mm into my headphones and laptop, but the audio outputs through the speaker. When I connect to the headphones vis Bluetooth they work fine, but with the headphone jack, its listed under input devices. How can I change how it is recognized so that I can output audio to my headphones?I tried uninstalling the drivers but that did not work. Diagnostics also found nothing.
