Windows 7 how can I get rid of smartimage on and smart image off from desktop screen/also the scanning vertical line going from one side to the other??

how do I get rid of white writing from bottom corners of desktop screen/showing Smartimage ON left/and Smart image OFF right /also the vertical scanner line moving back and forth / printing is about 10mm high and white surely there is a simple answer for this OBE ( over bloomin eighty user?? )
