Windows 10 How can i make my D drive my main one for installations

I have two drivers C(ssd) and D and i want to make my D driver the main one to install apps, games etc. I tried almost all the things that are suggested but some apps keep gettinh installed in my C driver . Also the game GTA V used to run properly before i add the new c drive (ssd) and now no matter where i install it it never starts. But first things first. How can i make my D(old drive) the main for games and apps installation.
