Windows 10 How can I tell Windows 10 to always show the check boxes in File Explorer?

I was fiddling with the 'View' options, and at one point I chose 'Restore Defaults', which removed all the check boxes beside the file names in File Explorer. I was able to find one that said 'Use check boxes' to put them back. However, it only shows the box that my mouse is positioned on. I want to see them all, all the time.
