Windows 10 How do I change my native resolution

My native is set at 1920:800 and I can't change it, my monitor is at 1080 but whenever I launch a game it defaults to 1920 by 800. I checked Nvidia control panel and it says the native resolution is 1920:800, display settings in windows says 1920:1080 though.
