Windows 10 How do I control visible file info of my imported-to-desktop photos? How do I keep original date-created in file properties?

I have recently begun to store images on a laptop, but the import into Windows 10 makes a mess of the file information . Each photo file shows the camera type I have used, the date format in YYYYMODY, the camera's file info, and then the freakin' mode my camera was in (portrait/night/camera) when I took the shot.Additionally, the date-created, and the date-modified each carry the date of the other (the date-created info shows the date-modified info, and vice versa).
