Windows 10 How do I get into my laptop when it changed my username? Nothing works to open the laptop.

I'm locked out of my laptop. The user name is off by an initial and Windows doesn't recognize me. How it happened I have no idea. I've followed good advice and tried the different MS protocols to try and fix this issue; however, the laptop will not go into Safe Mode--I'm stuck with no way to open the laptop. Any advice? Please--Sumit was a great help but the computer won't cooperate.
