Windows 11 How do I get out of a Microsoft Log-In loop?

For several weeks now whenever I try to use my Microsoft account to log into an app (such as Xbox and Outlook) on my laptop (HP Envy) I get trapped in a loop. It begins by "Checking its You" with the facial recognition pop-up that it uses to turn on my laptop (Sometimes it asks me to use the pin). Then it opens a Microsoft pop-up and asking me to choose which account to log in with, but it gives me three of the same account to choose from. No matter which one I click on it then asks me to enter my password. After entering my password, the pop-up closes yet I am still not logged in. I have res
