Windows 10 How do I remove a theme that was downloaded from Google Play Store?

I downloaded a dark theme from the Google Play Store to see how it would look on my Chromebook and didn't like it. I tried to change it back to the Windows Default Theme and it didn't work. I followed the step by step instructions from Google Support and it did not work. I even went so far as to reset my laptop and did the Powerwash. When it restarted and the set up was complete, the dark mode theme was still there. Someone please help.
