Dissappointed, As Usual
In Control Panel, under Devices and Printers, I selected my newly installed monitor, which didn't seem to be displaying correctly. I right-clicked to get to Display Settings. Under Scale and Layout I clicked on Advanced scaling settings; then, under Custom scaling, I entered a custom scaling size of 500 (my bad - clearly not recommended). Now, of course, I can only see about 5% of any screen (in giant magnification), can't find scrollbars or menus, and although I can search and get Control Panel, there's not enough acreage to navigate and undo the damage. Is there any quick fix for this? Am I going to have to reload Windows to get original settings?
Also, the laptop is several years old and came with Windows 7, so a factory reset would still mean I have to reload Windows 10.
Needless to say, this current question is being sent from another laptop!
Thanks in advance for your help!
