Windows 10 How do I set up an account in Microsoft on a new computer?

I needed a code to sign in at the beginning. I needed to have an email sent to my sister because she has texting, I don't. The system automatically set up with her name & email address. I managed to change the name to mine, but I can't change the email. I tried to remove her email address as the primary alias, I created an outlook account and kept having the instruction sent to outlook, but the emails never came through, 3 times. I can't even find help w/out having to sign in. Please help! Thank you.
