Every time I log into my computer I get a couple windows that automatically pop up. This doesn't happen when logging into other accounts on the same computer, only mine - the administrator.
One window that automatically appears is a window asking to select which program I would like to use to open a file entitled: "Mommy"which I don`t believe now exist but may have before. I have tried different programs listed to open the file such as Microsoft Word, Notepad, Power Point, Paint and most recently Windows Live Photo Gallery. Most of the time I end up with a pop up message saying the file isn`t compatible with the selected program however, when I selected Windows Live Photo Gallery I received a message saying I need to update Windows Live Photo Gallery to view the file. Unfortunately I cannot seem to find a way to update this program.
Another unsolicited popup is one from a program I attempted to uninstall. This popup is from "Mobile Connect" published by Bell. The massage that appears in this window states "unable to open, please contact Customer Care." I have been attempting to uninstall this program for years and have search various websites for help with removing it and I have yet to get a helpful answer to this issue.
The main popup I am concerned about is the most perplexing of all. A small window appears, usually after the other initial popups, and in the title bar all it says is "attn:" and there is one word in the message box: "error" and an "OK" tab. Seeing as there is no indication on where or which program this window emanates from, when this box appears I don't click "OK" but rather click on the x to close the window. Because of its unknown source, this window is by far the most troublesome for me and if anyone has any information that may be useful in identifying or removing it I would be very thankful.
Any help with one or all of these would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
