Windows 11 How do I stop "Antimalware Service Executable" from using ~200mb of memory

Hi there,I've recently found my laptop's memory bogged down and running applications much slower than the day before. I was looking into processes and found this "Antimalware Service Executable" seemed to be a major contributor to my memory usage. I googled this and tried the two most common fixes that involved;1. adding an exclusion of "MsMpEng.exe" 2. changing settings in task scheduler. Neither of these have affected the memory usage of "Antimalware Service Executable" and I'm wondering if anyone else has any solutions.
