Windows 10 How do I stop discord from changing PC volume on startup?

My PC's volume resets to max whenever discord starts up. Regardless of whether it's when I boot the computer or after shutting discord down and restarting it, the volume from my headset is maxed when discord opens. The PC settings still say the volume should be set wherever I left it, but the sound coming through is still enormously loud and painful. The moment I touch a volume knob to adjust, it resets back to where it was set at first. But if I forget to touch my volume knob, my headset almost blows my ears off. I can be in the middle of listening to a song, start up discord without touching
