Windows 11 How do you allow your mouse to move out of the game without Alt+Tab?

I have been trying to figure out how to move mouse out of the game screen to change music and do other things.I found a solution, which is to do “Windowed” or “Borderless” which worked although I use a controller to play the game and my controller doesn’t work when the game is set to these settings (Windowed or Borderless). Why don’t I just alt+tab? I tried to do this, firstly is not smooth. My screen turns black for a split-second before displaying the desktop and also around the 5th time alt+tabbing my game freezes forcing a restart. Which in a while gets annoying and I heard that it breaks
