I have 3 machines, a desktop, a laptop and a tablet. The laptop which has all of my media items / recording, etc. located on it was destroyed by the 1709 "FORCED" upgrade not once but twice. It took me 30+ hours (counting acquiring licenses that were lost - my backup was damaged too! - and had to be reacquired via phone calls which of course meant waiting for the next satellite to come my way...(that is a joke if you didn't get it)). TWICE!! --- then just recently my tablet (x86) with little memory and disk space was forced to upgrade to 1709 also. It never could - kept failing - tried to block updates - the damn upgrade came in anyway - over and over and over again. SO, I had to re-install all of windows after downloading the damn OS version and then reinstalling the programs I had installed on the tablet. Then of course, the network issues began.... THIS IS ABSURD. I BOUGHT THE DAMN OSs - The system is stable and has all of the items I need installed and working just fine. Why the hell do you insist on being BIG BROTHER (a Totalitarian) forcing updates I don't need on me. I do not need your damn updates. Honestly, I have never been so angry in my life. HOURS and HOURS recovering from your forced updates. My network gets slammed almost every damn time you send one of your damn updates. STOP IT... GIVE US THE ABILITY TO SHUTDOWN all UPDATES forever. Just another note on your absolute absurd support - The laptop crashes resulted in my LOSING the Windows 10 PRO upgrade I had purchased - I tried calling for days and could not get the DAMN License. My account shows the damn upgrade was purchased but I could not get them to provide a license - nor could I download from a site that supposedly was to be used to upgrade my Home to Pro. I gave up - in other words you destroyed my laptop system with an upgrade and then refused to simply provide the activation (license) code so I could restore Windows 10 to the Pro version I had paid for. You stole from me - my time, my patience, my peace of mind and lots of sleep. I fear every day that your f...ing update(s) will mess up my systems. Who do you care about? Your customers? are you actually using us as your guinea pigs (I didn't sign up and we could all nail you if that is ever found to be the case)? or just the bottom line or your megalomaniacal need to control your customers? -- or are you just too damn big to care anymore - time to break your bastard corporation up... GIVE US THE OPTION TO TURN OFF ALL UPDATES/UPGRADES. Let your CEO know we DON"T WORK FOR HIM...
