Windows 11 How to access old Hotmail account when details have been forgotten and phone number is now linked to new Hotmail account?

A couple of years ago I created a Hotmail account. Forgot the password and couldn’t figure out how to get back in at the time so I created a new account with a very similar name, and I’ve been using that for about two years. I was old like to be able to use the original Hotmail account though, and I’ve been told recently that family have been emailing me at the initial email address (and not getting a bounce back message).
