Windows Vista How to copy private characters to another computer?

I am still using Windows Vista, and would like to upgrade to a new system with Windows 10. The point is that I have created a lot of private characters with the Windows function EUDCEDIT. This works fine, but I can't find the files where these characters are stored. These should be EUDC.TTE and EUDC.EUF, but are not in the fonts folder, nor anywhere else, not as normal files, and not as hidden files. I searched the whole Windows folder, but without avail. The only alternative is to link the private characters to a particular font. In that case new files are created with the private characters, which you can find. But these do not show up in the character-map as private characters. They only show up in the character map if you link them to 'all fonts', and in that case you have to use the EUDC files.

Does anybody know where these original EUDC files can be found? If I can't find them I'll have to recreate hundreds of characters.

Thanks,

Adrian
