In Dell Precision M6600 upgrading from Windows 10 to windows 10 Anniversity Edition fails with error
0xc1900101 - 0x30018
The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP operation.
I read may messages about similar issues and have tried the following according to them:
1. Uninstalled all unused software and installed latest Dell BIOS version A15 and drivers from Dell Web site.
2. In Device manager removed hidden devices.
4. Installed upgrade from USB3 drive by selecting keep files and application.
5. Verified that
sfc /scannow
does not find anything:
sfc /scannow
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violati
ons.
6. Tried DISM
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.10586.0
Image Version: 10.0.10586.0
[==========================100.0%==========================]
No component store corruption detected.
The operation completed successfully.
6. Tried from command prompt
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
which worked without errors.
7. Tried
bcdboot d:\windows /v
which re-creates recovery partition successfully
8. Searched windows registry for keys from setuperr.log
C939EC0F-2F56-4CE8-AF56-2336596A5FA7
and
AE27C1A6-25F2-45FD-9A28-081B81F29E0A
Registry does not contain those keys.
I dont want to perfrom clean install, this requires re-installing lot of software.
How to find reason which prevents upgrade ?
Not sure is this related to the issue:
ATI Radeon video driver in disabled in device manager since ATI card does not work. There are no video drivers in device manager since Intel HD drivers from Dell and Intel sites does not install.
Windows 10 uses its builtin base video.
