Windows 11 How to fix my desktop being the mother file to everything else on my computer (I think)

Hello,So I have had this computer for a while, somehow a while back my desktop became the mother file for basically everything else on my computer, I fixed it by going thought the reg editor and resetting its location then moving everything back into my C: Drive recently. The two images inserted are what happens when I minimize the Desktop icon at the top in the navigation panel. You'll also notice in the photos there are two desktop folders, only one is accurate, the mother folder but on my desktop only the items labeled internet shortcut appear.
