Windows 10 How to fix WHITE X mark on audio icon windows 10

I have tried everything i have seen on the internet and my audio manager has refused to run. i keep getting the following error each time i attempt to run it "Windows could not start the windows audio service on local computer. Error 1067; The process terminated unexpectedly."Secondly when i go to Control panel---Hardware and Sounds---Manage Audio Device, there is no playback device available as i get "No audio devices are installed."Please advise on what i should do to resolve this problem.
