Windows 11 How to hold a key to type accents?

Hi. On my Chromebook, I could hold down a key to get a display of different accent characters. This is a vital part of my work as I work with various languages but don't want to constantly switch keyboard languages when I can use the English setting and type accents. This is an extremely aggravating issue that should be fixed for multilingual people. Is there a setting or a Chrome extension I can use to hold a key for the accents to pop up? Please don't tell me to use the number lock 10-key codes. This is an extremely frustrating feature that may seem small but is legitimately making me regret
