Hi everyone, I'll first give a brief summary of what lead to my PC seizing, the steps I took to resolve the problem, followed by the state the PC is now in which is still unresolved. I have an Acer Aspire M3970 which currently runs Windows 10. This underwent the usual every-month-or-so Windows 10 update a few days ago before powering down. When I turned it on again the next day, it ended up freezing when it entered the second phase of the boot process.
