Windows 11 How to show "recent" documents with right-click.

I use a number of Notepad and Word documents that I edit frequently. Heretofore I have been able to right-click the pinned application to see a list of "recent" documents and could open one quickly. Since the upgrade to Windows 11, the right-click only offers to open the application. Is there a "setting" that can restore that useful function?
