Windows 11 How to stop onedrive from syncing all of your files and things in your desktop?

OneDrive keeps on syncing my files and things from my desktop and the more I put applications or files in my desktop it would keep on syncing and taking space and I still wanted to use OneDrive to store some of my stuff and pictures in there but I can't because of OneDrive syncing my desktop please help me how do I stop OneDrive from syncing but I still want to use OneDrive but i cant unlink my account because I still have to view the things in OneDrive from my desktop. Please help me!
