Windows 10 How to terminate/disable vmcompute.exe ?

Hello, I am running the latest version of windows 10 professional. I need to take a proctored exam and the system test software says I need to shut down the "vmcompute.exe" background process. Selecting "end task" in TM does nothing.I have also tried Control Panel>Turn off windows features and confirmed that Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Platform, Windows Hypervisor Platform are all unchecked/disabled.Why is vmcompute.exe running in the background, and is there any way to disable it/turn it off?
