Windows 7 I can't access the internet on windows 7 pc using ie

I am able to browse the websites only using Mozilla Firefox and that too some downloads don't work.


I get an error "media disconnected" when I try to renew the IP address and the network connection shows as disconnected.


I have tried several steps available online such as (1) verifying proxy settings (2) disabling firewalls (3) system restoring to a previous state (4) downgrading ie etc but nothing seems to be changing the same behavior.
