Windows 11 I can't seem to empty the recycle bin. It gets stuck on the message "please wait while the selected items are retrieved"; there is no "delete button"

I can't seem to empty the recycle bin. It gets stuck on the message "please wait while the selected items are retrieved"; there is no "delete button" to delete the files manually... So how am I supposed to empty the recycling bin? PLEASE ASSIST!!!
