Windows 10 I have moved the cursor below Bamboo Paper screen while teaching a class and now my wacom pen brings up the color wheel instead of drawing/writing

I know the problem is with windows ink, because it persists in other software (Drawboard PDF), preventing me from drawing or writing. Prior to the issue, when I pressed the pen against the writing surface of the tablet, I was able to write. Now, when I press the tip of the pen to the tablet, the color wheel pops up. Disabling windows ink allows me to restore functionality to the pen and tablet, however, I would like to keep it enabled as I got accustomed to the line smoothing and enhancement features.Can anyone advise me on a fix?
