Windows 10 I keep getting the message "Make Sure Onedrive-365Education is running on your PC, and try again".

I keep getting the message "Make Sure Onedrive-365Education is running on your PC, and try again" when I try to download a cloud-based file in my local "Onedrive - 365Education" folder. It used to be synced with the online version. But it IS running. However, when I hover over the icon in the notification area, it just vanishes so I can't see what is going on with it. Also in office apps the "Copy Local Path" is shaded it never used to do this. It's like the local download folder of "Onedrive - 365Education" has become unlinked to the online version.
