Windows 11 I still can't see my desktop files after recovering them from onedrive recycle bin, can you help?

After I deleted my onedrive backup, most of my files on desktop were missing. So I recovered them from recycle bin in onedrive. But I still can't see them on my desktop. How can I see them? And is there a way I can delete the backup in onedrive but my files on desktop would not dissappear?
