Windows 10 I took photographs of a wedding on a panasonic lumix fz2000 camera, my photos have now turned to video mp4 files.

I took photographs of a wedding on a panasonic lumix fz2000 camera, I then used an sd card reader to move the photos to my my hp laptop (windows 10 operating system) however all the photos I took have become video mp4 files. I have tried to change the video format to photos on windows photos but to no avail. What can I do to recover my photos?
