Windows 10 I’m clean installing windows and how do I know my windows edition without logging into my local account

So I don’t have a windows 10 copy, the laptop was given to me and I want to clean install it, i however can’t login into the local account anymore and i am ready to do a clean install, how do I know my edition without logging in or having a copy of windows 10 or prehaps, is it safe to clean install using another edition of windows 10 other than the edition I have I don’t know my edition.
