Windows 11 I'm having serious issues with Windows Update on multiple devices (W10Pro, W11Pro) and really need to get some work done

Hello.I'm having some serious trouble with Windows Updates and currently reached a point where I can't find any more tips or help on the internet or this forum.I have an "old" Lenovo X230 with Windows 10 Pro installed on it. Since the middle of 2023 it doesn't complete the cumulative updates from Microsoft.It starts loading the update in the background and starts installing it and after about 30 - 45 minutes the Laptop gets slower and slower until it completely freezes.It is not possible to open an application or even the task manager.
