Windows 10 I'm trying to update Whatsapp on Microsoft Store and it is just spinning

I was told me Whatsapp application needed to be updated. However, I tried to run the update in the store and it just spins as pending. It has now been stuck doing that for days and I cannot move forward or change anything.
