Hello everyone,
I'm not a dummy when it comes to windows, but Window Indexing is flawed - was for 7, 8 and 10.
Outlook emails are never indexed completely, for example, always being 3-4 months behind, recent email never come up.
I've rebuilt the index, moved the index file, checked all the settings inside windows and office.
The index states it is finished, but can't find an email from a month ago.
The index is set to read words in files.
Funny an open source software programme can find stuff, but windows indexing can't... Interesting.
My question is: If I remove all file extension except all the office extensions - could this help?
If so, do I need to uncheck all the 200+ extensions one by one?
Thanks for your future help. Remember I've followed all the MS support Indexing suggestions many times without success, so doing this again without something new - would seem pointless...
Even done the troubleshooting app, pointless, but it does say every time "Windows searching is not working" then it states Fixed... this is the same every time you run this - even in consecutive runs (tested x3 one after the other). What that indicates is anyone's guess. Cheers
